Conservatories In Glasgow, Get A Quote

A lot of homeowners across Glasgow come to us with the same frustrations. Their existing conservatory is freezing in winter, sweltering in summer, and the energy bills do not reflect how little time they actually spend in the room. Some have draughts coming in around the frames, misted glass that never clears, or doors that do not lock properly anymore. These are not minor annoyances. They are signs that the structure is not doing its job, and in many cases, a new conservatory is the most practical solution.

Solving Draughts and Heat Loss

Older conservatories were often built with single glazed or early double glazed units that simply do not perform to modern standards. Heat escapes through the glass, through the frames, and through poorly sealed joints. The result is a room you avoid for half the year.

Our conservatories use A-rated double glazed and triple glazed units as standard, with warm edge spacer bars that reduce cold bridging around the edge of the glass. The frames themselves are manufactured from uPVC profiles with multiple chambers, which trap air and slow down heat transfer significantly.

The roof makes a real difference too. A solid insulated roof, or a high performance glazed roof with specialist thermal glass, keeps warmth in during winter and reduces glare and heat build up during summer. You end up with a room that feels comfortable in January and usable in July, which is what a conservatory should be.

Dealing With Condensation Problems

Condensation between the panes of glass is one of the most common complaints we hear. It happens when the seal on a double glazed unit breaks down, allowing moisture into the cavity. Once that seal has gone, the glass will not clear on its own.

New glazing units remove the problem entirely. Modern sealed units are manufactured to much tighter tolerances than older products, and the argon gas fill inside the cavity helps maintain consistent temperature across the surface of the glass, which reduces the conditions that cause condensation to form in the first place.

Internal condensation on the room side of the glass is usually a ventilation issue. Our conservatory designs include controlled trickle ventilation as standard, which keeps fresh air circulating without letting the heat out. It is a small detail that makes a real difference to how comfortable the space feels day to day.

Better Security for Your Home

Security on older conservatories is often an afterthought. Frames become brittle over time, locking mechanisms wear out, and doors that once closed firmly start to let in draughts and give a little too easily. That is not acceptable when it is a point of entry into your home.

Every conservatory we install comes with multi point locking on all doors as standard. The locking points engage at several positions along the frame when you lift the handle, so the door is held firmly at the top, middle, and bottom simultaneously. The glass itself is toughened or laminated safety glass, which is a legal requirement for conservatories and provides a meaningful deterrent compared to standard glazing.

The frames are reinforced internally with galvanised steel, which gives them structural rigidity and makes forced entry considerably harder. It all adds up to a conservatory that you do not need to think twice about when you lock up at night.

Styles Available Across Glasgow

There is no single conservatory design that suits every home, and we offer a range of styles to match different properties and budgets. Victorian conservatories with their characteristic faceted front work well on traditional sandstone and red brick houses. Edwardian designs give you a more rectangular floor plan, which makes the space easier to furnish. Lean-to conservatories are a practical choice for bungalows or where head height at the eaves is limited.

For something closer to a full extension, an orangery gives you solid brick or rendered pillars with a central glazed roof lantern. It feels more like part of the house and less like a glass box. Fully tiled sunrooms and L-shaped or P-shaped designs are also available for larger or more complex projects. Our team will visit your home, take measurements, and talk through which option suits your space before anything else happens.

Our Fitting Team and Timescales

All installation work is carried out by our own fitting team, based here in Glasgow. We do not pass jobs to subcontractors, which means we stay in control of the quality from the first day on site to the last. Most standard conservatory installations are completed within one to two weeks once the base is prepared and materials are on order.

We handle the full process, from initial survey through to final handover. If building regulations approval is required, we will advise you on that from the start so there are no surprises further down the line.

Your 10 Year Guarantee

Every conservatory we fit comes with a 10 year guarantee covering the frames, glazing units, and installation workmanship. If anything fails or develops a fault within that period, we will come back and put it right. No arguments, no lengthy process. The guarantee is there to give you confidence in what you are buying, and we stand behind it fully.

The frames and sealed units we use are also manufactured to last well beyond that 10 year period. uPVC does not rot, warp, or need repainting. It cleans easily and holds its colour over time, so the conservatory you have fitted today should still look the part many years from now.
